Matthew Holycross is an entrepreneur and insurance executive specializing in innovative risk-transfer solutions at the intersection of traditional and alternative insurance markets. With experience ranging from CFO roles at admitted carriers to designing and managing captive insurance companies, he has designed and managed structures spanning from small captives to billion-dollar reinsurance entities. A CPA and graduate of the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business, Matthew is the Managing Member of Palmetto Consulting of Columbia, LLC, where he advises clients on creative and effective insurance strategies and serves in leadership roles across several industry organizations. He resides in Columbia, South Carolina with his family.
